Founded 1896, the family owned Blackpool Pleasure Beach boasts in excess of 120 rides and attractions in 2009 and attracts over 6 million tourists every year.

Roller coaster rides include the Pepsi Max Big One (the tallest, fastest and steepest roller coaster of its time and still the tallest roller coaster in Europe at over 200 feet!), Infusion (a roller coaster featuring 5 loops), Irn Bru Revolution (the first roller coaster in Europe with a 360 degree loop!), Avalanche (the only bobsleigh roller coaster in the UK), Wild Mouse (a wooden wild mice roller coaster), Grand National (a dual track roller coaster) and Ice Blast (one of the first rides to feature free fall in the UK).

Family rides include The Tetley Teacup Ride, The Ghost Train, Crazy Golf, Go-Karts, Grand Prix, Superbowl themed Dodgems and The Flying Machines. The Mini Dodgems and The Mini Scooters are aimed specifically at children. Water rides include Swamp Buggies, Valhalla (an indoor, dark, Viking themed water ride), The River Caves and The Log Chute located at Beaver Creek. The Pleasure Beach Express trains make for a quick and easy way to travel around the park and reach your favourite ride!

There are plenty of indoor activities should the weather not hold out. The park boasts a dinosaur themed bowling alley, 6 arcades scattered around the park, 'Ripley's Believe it or not' exhibition of the extraordinary, and an ice rink at which ice skating lessons are available. Scary indoor attractions include Pasaje del Terror (home to scary movie characters) and The Horror Crypt (home to ghosts and monsters).

There are also a variety of shows to take in at Blackpool Pleasure Beach. Shows include the circus act 'Circus of Horrors', magic shows 'Beyond Belief' and 'The South Beach Show', an adult only Hypnotist show, a comedy night, a talent competition for children and 'The Grumbleweeds'!

There are a variety of places to stop for a drink or meal. Family diners include The Italian Job, Southern Fried Chicken, Pizza Hut, The Rib Shack and The Star, a traditional family style pub. Bradley Beaver Catering located at Beaver Creek caters specifically for children. More formal alternatives include The Grill, a brasserie style restaurant and the award winning White Tower Restaurant, which offers a fine dining experience looking out over the sea and Blackpool Promenade.

Accommodation is also available at the Park. The four star Big Blue Hotel is located at Ocean Boulevard. It is contemporary in design and boasts its own restaurant and health and leisure facilities. It is also ten minutes drive from six golf courses.

Blackpool Pleasure Beach opens from Easter to October. You can pay £5 for a Pleasure Beach Freedom Pass, which allows entry to the park and a handful of rides and attractions and supplement it with tickets for specific rides. Alternatively, you can purchase a daily wristband, which allows for unlimited use of rides throughout the day and a viewing of The South Beach Show. You can upgrade a Pleasure Beach Freedom Pass to an unlimited ride wristband at the ticket office in the park.
