The Lancashire town of Blackpool pulls in over 10 million tourists a year for a reason. It is the home to Blackpool Tower, Blackpool Illuminations and Blackpool Pleasure Beach and a variety of venues to take in a show.

Blackpool Tower
This Grade 1 listed replica of the Eiffel tower, located on The Golden Mile, attracts around 650,000 tourists a year. The attraction features a glass floor 'Walk of Faith' at the top of the tower, 380 foot up, an aquarium, 'Mooky's Circus Dreams', a ballroom boasting a Wurlitzer Organ, a Jurassic Walk and 'Jungle Jim's Towering Adventureland'. Visitors can dine at restaurant 1894, Bikerstaffe's Italian restaurant or the Tower Coffee Company. Blackpool Tower and Circus also hosts Birthday parties and Weddings. Admission prices to Blackpool Tower and Circus Prices vary throughout the season.

Blackpool Illuminations
Blackpool Illuminations take place annually on Blackpool Promenade from the end of August to the beginning of November for 66 consecutive nights. The free lights festival attracts around 3.5 million visitors a year. Blackpool Illuminations boast over one million lights, which adorn Blackpool Promenade from Starr Gate to Bispham. Blackpool Tower, known as the 'Queen of the lights', is illuminated with up to 10,000 lights. A convenient way to view the illuminations is on the open top trams, which run the length of Blackpool Promenade. There is a switching on ceremony and concert to mark the opening of Blackpool Illuminations.

Blackpool Pleasure Beach
Blackpool Pleasure Beach boasts over 120 rides and attractions, attracting more than 6m visitors a year. It features water rides like Swamp Buggies, The River Caves and Valhalla and roller coasters like Irn Bru Revolution, Ice Blast, Infusion, The Pepsi Max Big One and The Grand National. Family rides include Superbowl themed Dodgems, The Ghost Train and The Tetley Tea Cups. Indoor attractions include arcades, a bowling alley, an ice rink and 'Ripley's Believe It Or Not' exhibition of the extraordinary. Shows include the magic show 'Beyond Belief', 'The South Beach Show', an adult only Hypnotist show and 'The Grumbleweeds'. Places to eat and drink include The White Tower restaurant, The Rib Shack and Pizza Hut.

Blackpool Shows
Blackpool plays host to a variety of venues to take in a show. The Grand Theatre and Blackpool Opera House are located on Church Street whilst Blackpool Pleasure Beach is located on Ocean Boulevard. Shows at Blackpool Pleasure Beach in 2009 include the circus act 'The Circus of Horrors' suitable for adults only, an ice skating show starring Kyran Bracken and the puppet and magic show 'The South Beach Show' featuring children's entertainer Russell Brown.
